My name is Yanina Isla and I am a photographer and filmmaker born and raised in Buenos Aires, and now based in Berlin.
I have been amazed by photography since I was 16 years old and I bought my first analog camera, the lovely Pentax k1000. Around that time, I was also starting to become a great film lover and inspired in the cinema of filmmakers like David Lynch or Guy Maddin, I decided to study films and graduated from the University of Buenos Aires as an Audiovisual Designer.
During my university studies, I participated in a lot of independent movies, video installations and documentaries, including Océano, a long-length film that I co-wrote and co-directed with Angelina Emanuele.
Since 2013, I have been working as a freelance photographer and videographer, collaborating in the fields of fashion, music, corporative, and weddings. I have also worked in television, being part of a lot of tv shows and live programs and having the possibility to manage broadcasting equipment.
In Berlin, I am working as an editor and camera operator, and making photo and video reportage of cultural events, such as Bergman Week in Fårö Island, Sweden.
Now, I would love to know about you! Just drop me a message if you want to get in touch :)
